About the Actor

Elsa027.jpg

Elsa Kegelman is a Delaware-born actor, singer, theatre educator, and "good mover" according to those precious few choreographers who have worked with her. She received her BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

Most recently, Elsa understudied the role of Cassius in Delaware Shakespeare's production of Julius Caesar and was the swing for Lauren and Nicola in New Light Theatre's Barrymore Recommended production of Kinky Boots. Up next, she will be featured as Martha in City Theatre Company’s production of Spring Awakening.

Elsa is a company member of New Light Theatre, a non-profit professional theatre company in her hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. She has been with the company since its inception in 2018, and serves year-round as the volunteer Marketing Director, occasionally appearing onstage in the productions.

When she's not on stage, Elsa can be heard on Wing Women, an award-winning actual-play TTRPG podcast, available wherever pods are cast.

"As Catherine, Elsa Kegelman carries most of the show on her shoulders—and does not disappoint. Her performance is nuanced and concise."
